The Stile Tray is the key to the self-checking activities of the Key Stage 2 programme. Pupils answer the questions by simply placing each of the twelve numbered tiles on the appropriate square on the base of the tray. When all the tiles have been placed, they close the tray, turn it over, and reopen it to reveal a geometric pattern. If the answers are all correct, the pattern will match the one printed at the top of the exercise. There are many different accompanying workbooks for use with the Stile Tray, covering Literacy, Maths and Dyslexia. This set of six books offers a clear approach to the teaching of the main calculating requirements of Mathematics for Years 5 and 6 of Key Stage 2 (ages 7 years +). The activities can also be used for the reinforcement of key skills with older children in secondary school. Stile's unique self-checking mechanism makes these books appropriate for use with individuals or pairs during a maths lesson. The books are brightly coloured and suitably illustrated throughout. Each book contains 24 pages (150 x 266mm). Stile Trays are sold separately.
