The Yamaha CS40 is one of our most popular classical guitars. Its 3/4 size and 580mm scale length make it the perfect instrument for those who find a full size guitar a little too cumbersome. Although the instrument is more expensive that than similar instruments from Jose Ferrer or Valencia the renowned Yamaha quality really does shine through. Yamaha have used top quality, sturdy and resilient materials thorughout, from the Spruce top through to the Meranti back and sides and the Nato neck. It has a nicely finished Rosewood finger board with 18 nickel frets. All the hardware on the guitar is finished in chrome for longevity and a very professional appearance. We have sold numerous examples both domestically but also in large numbers to schools and music services who all report that they last well and sound good. It would be worth considering a padded bag as an additional purchase, not only would this make the instrument far easier to carry but it would afford the guitar some protection too.
